Practice of optimizing concentrated flotation process

Selected coal flotation process plant uses a flotation concentrate. The coal washing circulating water needs to enter a sedimentation tower with a volume of 600m3 for concentration and sedimentation. The overflow water is used for circulating coal washing, and the underflow enters the flotation treatment. In order to achieve centralized and efficient production, the plant achieved dual-system driving in 1998. The hourly washing capacity increased from 150t/h to 240t/h, but the amount of circulating water in the coal washing also increased, and the total coal content of circulating water increased by 40%. Although the two XJM-S8 flotation machines of the plant can adapt to the production capacity, due to the shortage of the concentration area of ​​the precipitation tower, the whole system is abnormal, which is manifested in the following aspects:

(1) The liquid level of the sedimentation tower is disordered, the concentration effect is deteriorated, and the concentration of overflow water is increased.

(2) The overflow of the overflow outlet of the sedimentation tower is insufficient, the overflow water layer is thickened, and a large overflow of the overflow pipe in the center enters the clean coal fishing pit, which destroys the settlement of fine fine coal in the fishing pit, and there is a rough running phenomenon, secondary slime The amount increases.

(3) Due to the vicious cycle of slime in circulating water, it forms its own fracture, resulting in finer particle size, poor floatability of flotation, and longer flotation speed, which reduces flotation efficiency. The filtered dewatering filter cake is thinned, the moisture is high, and the peeling effect is deteriorated.

(4) Due to the increase of washing water concentration, it has certain influence on the quality of clean coal products. It can only be floated for 4 hours per day to reduce the concentration to avoid affecting the quality of clean coal. For this reason, the cost of electricity, labor, equipment wear, materials, accessories and other investment costs will increase accordingly.

(5) In order to control the increase of washing water concentration, the coal slurry water is treated by single flotation every day, resulting in uneven distribution of jigging clean coal and flotation clean coal. The clean coal loading water is high and low, and the fine coal warehouse and shed appear. Warehouse and rash accidents bring significant safety hazards to the loading workers.

In summary, it is an urgent task to optimize and reform the concentrated flotation process.

System optimization and transformation plan

(1) Increase the circulating water concentration area. The precipitation tower (which is the same as the existing sedimentation tower) that has not been basically discarded for a long time is partially repaired, and the concentration area is doubled.

(2) Reduce the total amount of water entering the sedimentation tower. The overflow clarified water of the original concentration tank is introduced into the sedimentation tower pipeline, and the overflow pipeline main pipeline of the sedimentation tower is changed, thereby reducing the total water concentration of the precipitation tower.

(3) Increase the throughput of the flotation machine. Before the transformation, a 55kW underflow slurry pump was used to feed two XIM--S8 flotation machines, and two sedimentation bottom pumps were used for one flotation machine to overcome the uneven amount of human materials. The phenomenon that the liquid level of the flotation is unstable.

(4) Strictly control the overflow pipe water in the center of the sedimentation tower to enter the clean coal fishing pit. Stabilize the liquid level of the pit, control the rough running phenomenon and reduce the secondary slime content.

Retrofit effect

As the concentration area increases, the total water volume entering the sedimentation tower decreases, and the liquid level is stable, the overflow water surface becomes thinner, and the water flow speed is slowed down. The sedimentation speed of fine coal slime is accelerated, and the sedimentation effect is obviously improved. The sedimentation tower overflow water and the tailings concentrated clarified water merge into the jig, and the washing water concentration is further reduced, generally controlled below 20g/L (see Tables 1 and 2 for comparison), which creates conditions for effective sorting of the jig. Product quality has further improved steadily. The reduction of the amount of water entering the sedimentation tower controls the discharge of the central overflow pipe into the fishing pit, optimizes the sedimentation effect of the fine coal fishing pit, effectively controls the amount of secondary coal slime, and accelerates the flotation speed. The sedimentation tower realizes large underflow discharge, the flotation throughput increases, the flotation efficiency increases, and the entire production process is optimized. Flotation of human slurry is fresh, uniform in particle size, improved in floatability, improved yield of flotation clean coal, reduced fuel consumption in flotation, reduced moisture, thickened filter cake, and improved cake removal effect. The jigging and flotation simultaneous start and stop were realized, which shortened the production time. The fine coal product has uniform particle size and stable water content. The coal storage, shack and squatting accidents are effectively overcome, and the hidden dangers of loading safety are basically eliminated, thus achieving a pattern of efficient and high-quality production.
