Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. recently announced that in May of this year, Mazda's domestic production growth slowed down, and the overseas plant output further accelerated, resulting in the company's global production in May fell by 3.9% year-on-year.

In May of this year, Mazda produced a total of 94,592 vehicles globally, of which domestic vehicle production in Japan grew by 7% to 72,423 units, and overseas factories produced 22,169 units, which fell sharply by 27.9% year-on-year.

Judging from the first five months of this year, Mazda's global cumulative production still increased by 2% over the same period of last year to 510,918 units. In the first five months, production in Japan increased by 13.6% year-on-year, and overseas factory production fell by 23.8% year-on-year to 118,452 units.

Despite the decline in output, Mazda’s sales in Japan and overseas markets continued to grow in May. Among them, 17,740 vehicles were sold in Japan, up 3.7% from the same period of last year. In the first five months, 97,955 were sold, up from the same period last year. It fell by 1.2%.

In June, Mazda exported 61,347 vehicles to overseas markets, an increase of 9.6% year-on-year; exports to North America dropped 13.4% year-on-year to 24,816 units; exports to Europe also surged 33.5% year-on-year to 72,367 units; to Oceania The volume of exports fell by 11.6% year-on-year to 8,439 vehicles; exports to other regions soared by 110.6% year-on-year to 11,971 vehicles.

In the first five months of this year, Mazda exported a total of 318,753 vehicles to overseas markets, an increase of 19.6% over the same period of last year.
